Oasis Wildlife Fuerteventura park is an extraordinary biotope that is home to over 3000 animals from 250 species across categories of birds, mammals, reptiles and fish.
Enjoy the company of various species of birds, including live demonstration of rare birds of prey and parrots like rainbow lorikeet, marabou, black swan, terrestrial hornbill and several kinds of cockatoos.
An amazing variety of mammals make up the wildlife at this park including exotic monkeys like the wide-eyed lemur from Madagascar, friendly-giraffes, live sea lion demonstrations, zebras, and hippopotamuses. Oasis Park also happens to be Europe's largest camel reserve.
The reptiles and crocodiles displays where you get to see these creatures live in their element is a highlight at the zoo. The only Botanical Garden of Fuerteventura with more than 150,000 square metres, enjoy your time exploring and navigating through a diverse collection of tropical succulents and native flora, with over 1,500 specimens. Of all the plant species recorded at Fuerteventura, half are native to the island. Of these, 15 are endemic to the island, that means, they are not found anywhere else in the world.
Growing upto 10 meters in height, the multiple species of palm trees like foxtail palms, royal palm, canarian palm and the likes make the whole reserve a special attractive landscape.
Autochthonous or indigenous or native plants at Fuerteventura occupy a wide area of about 5 hectares. This space dedicated entirely for the native flora has gorgeous plants like Fuerteventura sea-kale, the spike-thorn of the eastern Canaries, and the canary marmolan or ironwood.

In this 90 minute-experience you get the actual sense of majestic presence of the giraffe family at the Oasis. These sociable creatures from the African Savannah with long legs, endless necks and wide open eyes love visitors. You get to feed them too! This experience will also reveal data about the secret life of these African icons, how they sleep, their state of conservation, the dangers they face and a host of other curiosities. Children below 4 aren't permitted while those between 4 to 11 need to be accompanied by an adult.
Go on a one-of-a-kind camel experience, Oasis Park after all happens to have Europe's largest camel reserve. This animal is beloved ever since it made its way to the Canary Islands. You get to enjoy two types of camel safari eco- experience, one is to walk through the beautiful desert landscapes that surround this oasis on camels, until you see the sea and two is see the magnificence of the African Savannah. Before you take off, you are told all about the camels in the workshop, including how you can help preserve their existence. This experience lasts 25 minutes, so be sure to wear comfortable clothes. Children and babies need to be accompanied by adults.
Learn all about the native plant reserve at the Oasis' botanic garden and experience from a specialist botanist who will also share all that they are doing and planning to do to preserve this piece of heaven. This recreated reserve holds over 80 species of indigenous plants. Climate change and human activities have, however, put them at a risk of extinction. About 15 plants are endemic to the island, that means, they are not found anywhere else in the world. With the exception of only one, all of them are in danger of extinction. This 90-minute tour will help you understand and know these rare beauties better.
Sadly, 95% of the species of black and white fur lemurs are critically endangered. Taking the lemur experience means you get to go on the journey through the Madagascar forest and learn from the zookeepers how you can protect these primates. The lemurs are also super friendly and welcome you home, they will also allow you to photograph them! It's a 20 minute experience so keep your camera handy and your spirits high. Open to all audiences, children must be accompanied by adults.
The most fun of all, step into the sea lions pool to accompany them for 20 minutes and get to know how they are in and out of water through this cool experience! Enjoy helping the zookeepers brush them, feed them, learn how they function, live and protect themselves. Open to kids 7 years and above. Wear comfortable clothes and you will be provided with complete gear - swimsuit and equipment to enter and enjoy!
This is your only chance to take care of the world's largest land animals, namely the Noah, Diuna and Mouse elephants of the Oasis. Learn how they maintain optimal health and well-being, interact with zookeepers, and participate in an environmental enrichment workshop. You also get to accompany zookeepers into the enclosures and experience how they care for the elephants and can help with the daily feeding too. This is a 90-minute experience not open to children under the ages of 4.
